RCI: What APAC Owners Need to Know

RCI (Resort Condominiums International) is a global exchange network that many APAC vacation ownership clubs are affiliated with. If your club is an RCI affiliate, you can deposit your points or week entitlement and book from RCI's global inventory.

How RCI membership works

To use RCI, you enrol directly as an RCI member and pay an annual RCI membership fee (separate from your club's annual maintenance fee). Once enrolled, you can deposit your club entitlement with RCI and search available inventory across the RCI network.

Depositing your points or week

You deposit your current year's entitlement into your RCI account. RCI assigns a trading power value to your deposit based on the demand profile of your home resort and the season. This trading power is what you use to book RCI exchanges.

Booking through RCI

You search RCI's inventory for your preferred destination and dates. Each exchange reservation requires a per-exchange fee in addition to your membership fee. If your trading power is insufficient for your preferred option, you may need to top up with additional points or cash.

Points vs weeks in RCI

RCI operates two separate systems: RCI Weeks and RCI Points. The system your club is affiliated with determines which inventory you can access. Some clubs participate in both; many participate in only one. Confirm which system applies to your membership.
